Zonia Bowen
Zonia Bowen is an author and free-thinker. She was born in Norfolk and brought up in Yorkshire. She studied French in Bangor University and married Geraint Bowen, who went on to become Chief Bard. She now lives in Caernarfon. In 1967 she started the Merched y Wawr organization in Bala, where she was living at the time. Whilst establishing the organisation she stated that it should not have links to any religion or politics. She's the author of "Llydaweg i'r Cymro", the first Breton textbook in the Welsh language.
