To begin at the beginning... Dylan Thomas was born in Cwmdonkin Drive, Swansea, on 27 October 1914. Although he is famous for his grown-up writing, childhood remained very important to Dylan. Memories of playing in Cwmdonkin Park, visiting his aunt's farm in Carmarthenshire, and trips to the Gower coast - everything fed his rich imagination. "I wanted to tell his story for young people," writes poet and historian Phil Carradice, "because childhood was the inspiration for so much of Dylan's work." Here, in a unique combination of words and pictures, is a personal tribute to one of Wales's most famous writers.
