A novel in the American pulp tradition. Dyl Mawr, the barman at the Penrhyn Arms, is in hospital having been beaten up at a garage near Bangor. Nobody know why, or no one is telling! The police show very little interest, but Oswyn Felix, the landlord of the Penrhyn Arms, and Dyl Mawr's friend, is convinced that answers are needed.
