Radnorshire-born sheep farmer Tom Evans is 'the voice of Welsh shearing', having commentated for nearly forty years at the Royal Welsh Show, the Three Counties Show and the World Championship Shearing Competitions across the world.
In a candid autobiography, he discusses his farming life, from a very tough post-war childhood with no mother, tractor or car, to days on shearing gangs and in hedge-laying competitions far and wide, to his own sheep farming and commentating commitments, and his impact on policy through work with the National Farmers' Union.
There are also tales of travels to Europe, Australia and New Zealand to see their farming practices.
Tom's led a fascinating life, faced many challenges, and the results of hard work and sheer determination are clearly to be seen here.
