A picture of Peter Jones

Peter Jones

Born in Pwllheli, North Wales, Peter has spent his adult life on the other side of the border. After teaching in Hampshire, he has set up a bespoke tour company, www.singlesteptours.com, and has found time to write. Two books on the First World War (The Stormy Blast and A Torch in Flame - both published by Natula) were followed by a book on Newport Rugby Greats (Amberley Books, 2017). His research at Newport led him to the story of Welsh rugby hero Charlie Pritchard and a box of priceless shirts in an attic in deepest Dorset. He Did His Bit was published by Gomer in February 2020.
Peter is also involved in a rugby charity, Rugby For Heroes, and is a postgraduate student at De Montfort University, Leicester.
Married, with four grown up children, he lives in Romsey, Hampshire.
