Anne Elizabeth Williams
Anne Elizabeth Williams was educated in Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle, Pen-y-groes and at the Bangor Univeristy College. After graduating in Welsh, she went on to study for a Diploma in Palaeography and Archive Administration and to complete a Doctorate on Gwilym Tew, a poet from the 15th century, and his manuscript, Peniarth 51. After a period at Caernarfon Archives, she moved to Sain Ffagan, the Welsh Folk Museum, to research the field of Folk Medicines. After this, she worked as an independent translator for over twenty years until her retirement.
