A big change occurred in Meic Stevens' life recently. After a rock and roll lifestyle, he decided to emigrate to the tranquillity of Comox Valley, Canada, to begin a new chapter. Before he left, he went about writing an honest account of his loves, his family and children, and of the experience of creating some of the Welsh language's most iconic songs during the 1970s to the present day.
"I wrote things down on paper whilst travelling on trains, in bars across Wales, in hotels in Brittany, during the early hours after performing in gigs, and on ferries," says Meic. "The book is more like a diary than an autobiography."
The troubadour brings the reader to his current love story, "and the diary is now more like a letter to a best friend. I write in my own way, about my own life. Keep reading, if you dare!"
