Getting published

Our books are well known for their attractiveness, their high editorial standards and for the professional way they are promoted and marketed. We also take pride in the transparent and honest way we deal with royalties, grants and copyright payments.

Have a look around this website to see the range and types of book that interest us. We like factual books of Welsh interest, and others with a Welsh standpoint – and original works by Welsh authors and artists. English-language submissions should be sent to: ; Welsh-language ones to: . Alternatively you may ring us on 01970 832 304 for advice on how best to submit your proposal. Please allow three months for a final decision.

Grants and author contributions

Many excellent books are not commercially viable without grant or author support. If your book falls into this category, we may invite an author contribution to the production costs, in exchange for an attractive Publication Agreement whereby we pay the author a larger than usual royalty, plus a commitment to keep in print. These books are published under the normal Lolfa imprint and marketed in the usual way. Ask for full details and a chat.
