Non: Yn Erbyn y Ffactore
Non Evans Other books by Non Evans
"There's only one Non Eleri," said one of the people who knew her best about the young champion from Pontarddulais. And judging by all that she has achieved in four sports - rugby, judo, wrestling and weight lifting - Uncle Griff's words are certainly true. Non Evans is one of the best known and talented ladies rugby players in Wales. She won her first cap against Scotland in 1996 and, to date, has won 87 caps for her country and has scored the highest number of points and tries for Wales in international ladies rugby. As well as her success on the rugby pitch, Non has represented Wales and Great Britain in judo, wrestling and weight lifting and has won two silver medals for judo in the Commonwealth Games. But life was not easy for Non, and in her autobiography she tells us about the effort, the frustrations and the disappointments she endured as she fought her way to the top of her game - from trying to fit in at Howells girls' school, Cardiff, to the unfair treatment of her on the ITV series Gladiators and the fight to regain fitness after suffering a serious leg injury whilst playing rugby for Wales. She also voices her opinion of the Rugby Union's organisation of ladies rugby in Wales. This is a book about Non the competitor, the presenter and the woman as she talks honestly and openly about her professional and personal lives. This is an honest and raw autobiography by an extraordinarily talented and unique young woman.
