This beautiful volume traces the life, art and career of one of the most distinguished Welsh artists active in Wales since 1945. Born in the Swansea Valley, Ogwyn Davies began to learn his art and craft at Swansea School of Art, before moving to teach at Tregaron where he settled for sixty years and created striking images inspired by the Welsh countryside and language. His memorable pictures incorporate experimental techniques, calligraphy and mixed media and he also produced ceramics.
