Y Traeth

Set in Meirionnydd in the 17th century 'Y Traeth' follows the life of some of the gentry families of the period, especially the lady Margaret Wynne and her maid, Begw. Margaret suffers the brunt of her family-in-law's scorn and as a result suffers from pools of depression and longing for her young daughter and her husband who spend their time in London.
