J. J. Williams

JJ (John James) Williams is a former Welsh rugby union player who also gained 30 caps playing for Wales as a winger.
Born in Nantyffyllon in south Wales, Williams was a strong track athlete and represented Wales in the Commonwealth Games, held in Edinburgh in 1970. He was considered one of the fastest wingers in the game. He gained his first international cap in 1973. He went on two British and Irish Lions tours – 1974 and 1977. After retiring from sport, Williams now runs a commercial and industrial painting company based near Bridgend.
