Kate Bosse-Griffiths
Kate Bosse-Griffiths was born in Wittenberg, Germany, where her father was a surgeon. She gained a doctorate from Munich university but she was made redundant from Berlin State Museum when a co-worker revealed that her mother was Jewish. At the beginning of the Second World War, she moved to Wales as J.Gwyn Griffiths' wife, and in their home at the foot of Moel Cadwgan she played a key role in establishing 'Cylch Cadwgan'. She published two novels, as wel as a number of factual, traveling and academic books.
