Joyce Jones

Joyce Jones was born in Porthmadog. After leaving Eifionydd School, she went to Bangor Normal College, and then to Battersea College, London, where she specialised in Textile Planning. She taught the craft in East End schools and then in Rhyl for several years. Her interest in sampler work and their history began whilst recovering from an illness.
