Peter Berresford Ellis
Peter Beresford Ellis, historian and novelist was born in Coventry, Warks. His father was a journalist from Cork City, Ireland. His mother was from Sussex but had links to Brittany through her mother. Peter therefore grew up in a family of Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Breton and English. He graduated with a degree in Celtic Studies from the North East London Polytechnic and obtained a Master's degree also in Celtic Studies from the University of East London. He started his career in journalism. He has been recipient of several awards and was made a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedd in 1987. He has written almost 100 books, over 100 short stories, several pamphlets and academic papers, some under his own name and others under pseudonyms
