Unrhyw un sy'n licio magic. Ar gyfer darllen yn annibynnol, dyma lyfr sy'n addas ar gyfer ddarllenwyr eitha' hyderus oedran top yr ysgol gynradd yn fy marn i, ond mi fasa fo'n iawn i flynyddoedd cynnar yr ysgol uwchradd. Mi fysa hi'n gwneud nofel ddosbarth dda fel bod darllenwyr o bob gallu yn cael y cyfle i'w mwynhau.

Dwi wedi mwynhau'r nofel hon yn arw!... Dwi'n falch, ac wedi cynhyrfu braidd, achos mae Simon Rodway yn awdur dawnus sy'n gwybod sut i ddeud stori, sut i gadw diddordeb y darllenydd, sut i chwarae efo hiwmor, ac mae cymeriad Tractor yn gampwaith!

Proposing an addition to the vast corpus of the magic-school-literature is quite an act of bravery as dangerous cliches lurk for those who venture this path. I was fascinated by the prospect of reading the book of this genre in Welsh, but I was also quite afraid of what I might find in it. But I found a few wonderful hours of reading a vividly written text, giggling and marvelling at the use of "Welsh mythology" and the unexpected twists thereof, liking the children described and the empathy of the author, and also admiring the discussion of some important values that are not didactically preached, but emerge in a most natural way. I quite envy the children who will read about the white dogs with red ears (no spoilers intended) and will certainly be curious to learn more. Diolch, Simon, a llongyfarchiadau mawr!

Ardderchog Simon Rodway! Not usually my favourite genre but nevertheless you had me gripped, and laughing, it's great! Anyone out there looking for a kids book in Cymraeg, I bet they'll love it - a bit modern Mabinogi, a bit political, a bit classic magic school adventure, but totally relevant and current with just enough blood. Any book where the headmaster of a magic school keeps a rugby ball signed by Alun Wyn Jones on his desk has got to be good. Da iawn!

Cymeriadau a stori Gymreig fodern yn plethu gyda'n chwedlau mor wych. Mae hi wirioneddol yn gampwaith. Gobeithio y bydd mwy o anturiaethau Cadi Goch.
