The intriuging and entertaining autobiography of Owain Williams, otherwise named 'Now Gwynus' ... a derring-do account of one of the leaders of a small strand of Welsh nationalism that arguably owes more to the Republican violent tradition of Ireland than contemporary Welsh nationalism."

He's got a tale to tell that will not only entertain and keep you turning the pages, but will hopefully verify his dream of inspiring you to dedicate your services to Wales and the Welsh language.
- Eifion Glyn
This is a well-written book which, in parts, resembles a fictional thriller in its excitement, and which also sheds some significant new light on a turbulent and exciting period in Welsh history, and on one of its most enigmatic figures.

For a contemporary take on Welsh heroism, Owain Williams, one of those who bombed the Tryweryn resvoir site in 1963, provides a tub-thumper of a memoir, unambigously sub-titled The story of a Welsh Freedom Fighter. For once, the hype is justified. Williams comes across like an outlaw of old, swashbuckling his way through timid postwar Wales with a cast iron certainty that his actions were wholly justified. Williams writes with great gusto and a fine eye for revealing details. His evocation of the squalid political compromises and outright nerousis of the 1960s is especially absorbing.
