Roger Williams

Roger Williams was born in Newport in 1938 and still lives in the city. He has always had a great interest in local history. Following the publication of two books co-authored with David Jones he has been much in demand by local history groups to give illustrated talks on Welsh coalmining and Welsh folklore. For more than a decade he has been a member of the Welsh Arts Council Writers on Tour scheme, travelling throughout south Wales giving talks to writers groups. He is also a creative writing tutor for Caerphilly Borough Council.
