Goronwy Wynne
After graduating from Bangor University in Agriculture and Botany, Goronwy Wynne taught at his old school in Holywell and then as Principal Lecturer in Biology at the North East Wales Institute, Wrexham. He received doctorate degrees from the Universities of Wales and Salford. He is a Fellow of Bangor University and of the Linnean Society of London and was Recorder for Flintshire for the British and Irish Botanical Society for 40 years. He also edited 'Y Naturiaethwr' for the Edward Llwyd Society for 10 years, and in 2014 he received the Science Medal of the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
