Carl Clowes

Founder of the Nant Gwrtheyrn trust and one of the main campaigners to develop the Nant over the years. After graduating as a doctor in 1967 he moved to a rural practice in Llanaelhaearn in 1970 before specializing in social medicine. He has been a chairman for Dolen Cymru and has formed a lasting relationship between Wales and Lesotho. He has also campaigned unrelentingly for the Welsh language and as Chairman of the National Language Form he steered the first Welsh comprehensive language strategy.
