Gareth F. Williams

Originally from Porthmadog, Gareth was a full time author for years. He scripted programmes for children with HTV and was one of the creators of the television series' Pengelli and Rownd a Rownd for S4C. He wrote a number of musicals for the stage and won a BAFTA for Sion and Sian. He and has published a number of novels. He won teh Tir na n-Og Prize, which recognizes the best books for children and young adults in Wales, six times between 1991 and 2015. 'Awst in Anogia' won the main Welsh prize in Book of the Year 2015. Gareth F. Williams died in 2016.
