Eileen Beasley

Eileen Beasley was born into a family of farmers near Henllan Amgoed, on the Carmarthenshire Pembrokshire border. A teacher by occupation, she campaigned untiringly with her husband Trevor for the Welsh language. She was the first member of Plaid Cymru to be elected onto the district council. Eileen Beasley died in 2012.
