Robert Minhinnick

For the past 30 years, author Robert Minhinnick has lived two hundred yards away from Porthcawl fairground. He has twice won the Wales Book of the Year Award, and twice the UK's Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem. His novel, Sea Holly (Seren), which is set in Porthcawl, was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature's Ondaatje Prize in 2008. He works as an advisor to Sustainable Wales, a charity which is based in the resort.
