Byron Rogers

Though now exiled in Northamptonshire, Byron Rogers was brought up in rural
Carmarthenshire. From Carmarthen Grammar School he went to Oxford
University to learn how to become an Englishman, before embarking,
via Fleet Street, upon a colourful career as a journalist and author.


A one-time speechwriter to the Prince of Wales, in 2007 he was awarded the prestigious James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his biography of R.S. Thomas,
The Man who Went into the West.
