Lois Arnold
Lois Arnold lives in Porth Tywyn in Carmarthenshire and is a Welsh tutor. She also teaches keep fit classes.
She learnt Welsh as an adult, in Gwent and won the Learner of the Year Prize at the National Eisteddfod in Newport in 2004.
Learning was a big help whilst she was learning Welsh, but there weren't many books for learners at the time. So she decided to start writing her own stories. Her stories won a prize at the Meifod Eisteddfod in 2003 and they were then published in the book Cysgod y Coed. Since then she has written novels and other stories for learners (E-ffrindiau, Sgŵp, Ffenestri, Agor y Drws, Ffenest a Straeon eraill).
She enjoys sea swimming, walking, cycling and gardening. She plays the flute and the guitar and enjoys singing in choirs.
