£5.95 The publication agreementIn general, the agreement is very similar to the normal Lolfa agreement. The main points may be summarized as follows:The author is the owner of the copyright of his work. The right to publish is transferred to the publisher via an initial two-year agreement. Should the book sell out before the end of the two-year period, the publisher will be obliged to reprint at no cost to the author. At the end of the two-year period, the author may either continue publishing with Dinas via a further agreement, or he may terminate Dinas publication and take away the remaining book stock. The price and print run will be discussed and agreed by the author and publisher but the publisher will have the final say. The print run cannot be fewer than 500 copies, but may not be more than 1,000 without the author's consent. The sale of rights will be dealt with by the publisher in the usual way, the author receiving 67% of any receipts. Royalties are paid twice a year for periods ending in March and September and will be at the rate of 25% of all the publisher's receipts. The author will receive 30 complimentary copies; more copies may be bought at the full bookseller's discount of 35%.
