Hywel Harries

Hywel Harries, who died in 1990 at the age of 69, was an art teacher by profession; in retirement, however, freed from the fear of HM Inspectors and faceless examiners he divulged that although he loved teaching, he hated education! Alongside his teaching career, he was a practising artist, finding equal delight in serious painting, illustration and cartooning.
