Mair Roberts

Mair Roberts (Colwyn's harpist) was born in the Old Colwyn and was a pupil in Penmaenrhos Welsh School and Abergele Grammar School. She started having harp lessons when she was 10 years old by the late Alwena Roberts and was inaugurated to the blue gown in the Bards Throne while still in school. While studying at the Royal Institute in London after receiving a Roas Hovey scholarship she won the Julia Leney award for playing the harp.
