David Greenslade

David Greenslade is considered to be one of the foremost voices writing in Wales today. As a Welsh learner he has - in Burning Down the Dosbarth - written about language reclamation and, in a major non-fiction study - Welsh Fever - the contradictions of ethnic identity among Welsh people overseas. His poetry collections - most notably Fishbone and Creosote - combine a profoundly Welsh sensibility with some of the most modern writing in Wales today. He has also written Welsh language books for children and, as well as contributing to a wide variety of journals and magazines, writes a monthly column for the Welsh American newspaper Ninnau. Having travelled extensively in Japan and the USA he now lives in Cardiff with his American family.
Burning Down the Dosbarth, published by Y Lolfa, is now in its second edition.
