Goronwy Wynne

After graduating from Bangor University in Agriculture and Botanics, Goronwy Wynne taught at his old school in Holywell and then as Head Lecturer in Botanics at the North East Wales Institute. He received a doctorate degree from the University of Wales and Salford University. He is a Fellow of Bangor University and of the Linnean Society in London and was a record-keeper for the British and Irish Botanical Society for 40 years. He also edited ‘Y Naturiaethwr’ for the Edward Llwyd Society for 10 years, and in 2014 he received the Science Medal at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
